I was approached through LinkedIn by an associate partner at this firm, who had presumably viewed my profile and found it suitable. She asked me to sign an NDA and sent me the candidate brief. After I confirmed my interest and sent her my CV, she completely ghosted me, despite the polite requests for feedback/updates I sent her over the following 2-3 weeks.

Eton Bridge partnered with me on a search for a Head of HR role at Danny Sullivan Group, working to a very specific and demanding brief. They consistently presented a strong, well-curated shortlist, with candidates who clearly matched both the technical and cultural requirements of the role.

Masters at polishing the proverbial. Make no bones, EB are just another "ambulance", commission chasing recruitment agency like the rest of the pack. Yet they dupe their clients (and now even believe their own hype) that they are value-adding partners when, in truth, they add nothing - it's the people (perms & interims) they simply middleman that add the actual juice or value with zero oomph from EB and it's disingenuous to suggest otherwise (but eh, why let the truth get in the way of profit). If it weren't for the 30-50% fees they charge (sometimes 66%), this would be funny but as it is, it's a scandal. Two stars because the do actually do recruitment but you're paying way more than double for privilege of their smoke & mirrors and since the change of ownership, this is now a numbers-chasing machine lacking a moral compass or soul.

Very unprofessional, treat candidates like commodities and don't bother giving an update after you have attended an interview. When I hire, I wouldn't want candidates treated like I have been. A little curtsey goes a long way, not something Eton Bridge partners have learned.

I have had a very poor experience with this company, demanding my National Insurance and personal details for an Outside IR35 contract. Even after emailing them with evidence from HMRC as to why EMPLOYMENT Intermediary Reporting is an off-payroll (Inside IR35) requirement, and how the contract I had been offered was Outside IR35 and remote, the CFO refused to even click on the link to the info that came from HMRCs Employment intermediaries reporting guidance because this is how they have always done things... My company has now lost out on a contract, even though I was the "clearly outstanding" one of all, because this company has processes they refuse to review. The client loses, my company loses, but Eton Bridge does not have to review their processes so that's for the best I guess. I understand IR35 has been confusing and the governments website is difficult to navigate, but to not have the full informaton about the contract being remote etc and to not be willing to look at evidence provided is really disappointing. Perhaps it is for the best I was not stuck with this company for 6 months!

Eton Bridge Partners are a professional organisation with the personal touch. They go out of their way to understand the needs of the business and the talents and motivations of their candidates to ensure they achieve the best possible match. Many recruitment firms take the “bums on seats” approach and send swathes of CVs forward without taking the time to get to grips with the brief and match the candidates to the roles. If a role is too big or too small for the candidate, EBP take the long term approach and won’t send them forward. Time is critical and competition is fierce, so building long term relationships in this industry is more important than ever. EBP can see the value in this, where many have failed.
